Brentford secured their first away point of the Premier League this season with a deserving 0-0 draw at Goodison Park against Everton, despite playing the whole second half of the game with 10 men.

A red card was shown to Christian Norgaard after his attack on Jordan Pickford which put Brentford at a disadvantage, but the team played a defensive game that put them in a draw against Everton.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin had two efforts in the first half that could have led to goals but they were denied by goalkeeper Mark Flekken. Before Christian Norgaard was sent off due to a red card, Brentford had the opportunity of scoring a goal but Yoane Wissa was unable to convert the opportunity.

Everton who have also struggled to score goals this season was unable to take advantage of playing their 11-men against Brentford 10-men to win the game. Idrissa Gueye played a strong shot and several opportunities were open med to substitute Beto but the Toffees were unable to score

The result did not help Everton as the team now sits in 15th place with 11 points, while Brentford now sits in 10th position on the Premier League table. The lack of an offensive struggle did not help the two teams.
