Mac Allister and Mohamed Salah shined on Wednesday as they gave Liverpool three points in the UEFA Champions League match against Bologna at Liverpool’s home, Anfield. Salah and Allister scored one goal each, ending the match in a 2-0 win.
Liverpool, which won its first game against AC Milan, did not take any chances against Bologna. It scored its first goal in the 11th minute when Allister converted Salah’s beautiful cross into a goal, his first ever in the competition.
Chances were also created by the visitor, Bologna, but their efforts hit the goal pole twice and were unable to either make it a draw or win against Liverpool.
The two teams had a heated second-half game until Mohamed Salah sealed the win with a beautiful shot in the 75th minute, becoming the first player from Liverpool to score in five consecutive Champions Leagues played on Anfield Stadium.
Liverpool will aim to stay at the top of the Premier League when they face Crystal Palace on Saturday. Meanwhile, mid-table Bologna will play Parma in Serie A on Sunday.
