Reese Witherspoon has released further information about the yet-to-be-released season 3 of “Big Little Lies.”
Witherspoon revealed to the E! News that she and her colleague Nicole Kidman have been expecting the new material from Liane Moriarty, who is the best-selling author of “Big Little Lies.”
“We’re in waiting for Liane Moriarty. She’s going to be turning in something very soon,” Witherspoon, 48, said on the red carpet of her media company Hello Sunshine’s second annual Shine Away conference on Saturday. “We’re back to the original author, and we’re going to go back to the original characters.”
She added: “It’s exciting, too, because I think the kids are probably a little bit older now. So that might add another element. I don’t know yet, I haven’t read it yet.”Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman formerly stated that the third season of the movie is currently being worked upon for release.

Nicole Kidman, who is now 57, talked about the season defeating 3 in November during a question and answer session and later confirmed to the media, especially Variety, that she and her co-star, Witherspoon, are talking daily about the movie. The two Hollywood stars are also producers on the show.
Kidman released to the media that there is no relenting on Season 3 of the movie sitting a discussion that she had with Vanity Fair in June, while she also refused to share more information about the movie.
The first season of the show, which aired in 2017, was about a mysterious murder and some women who were involved in its investigation. Witherspoon and Kidman were also among the stars who featured in the series.
Although initially intended as a one-season show, it won the Emmy for Best Limited Series and returned in 2019 for a second season, exploring the aftermath of the murder. Meryl Streep joined the cast in Season 2.
In earlier interviews, both Dern and Woodley expressed their hope for a third season.
