Brazil is back to its winning time as Raphinha increased his effort to score two penalties that helped the team secure a destructive 4-o win against Peru in the World Cup qualifier.

The team needed this win to boost its confidence ahead of other matches after they lost a few of the previous matches and after the 2-1 comeback win against Chile last week in the South American World Cup qualifier.

Brazil deserved the victory as they dominated the game from the first minute with good skills from the players, which earned them the 3 points.

Aside from the two penalties scored by Raphinha, Andreas Pereira and Luiz Henrique scored late goals that sealed the match, ensuring that the scoreline matched Brazil’s effort.

Brazil is a goal behind Uruguay, and it is currently in fourth place in the standings, with 16 points after playing 10 matches.

“I think we needed this, it was really important winning both games to get back on track,” he told Globo after the game. “They were two games that we managed to control. It’s a long way from perfect, but I believe we’re on the right track.”

Barcelona’s Raphina almost scored a goal in the 24th minute of the game, but the effort hit the crossbar. He scored his first penalty in the 38th minute after Carlos Zambrano, who plays for Peru, was penalized for a handball he committed. He scored the second penalty that Zambrano caused against Savinho in the penalty box.

Pereira, who came in as Brazil’s substitute, scored the team’s third goal in the 72nd minute with an acrobatic volley. Luiz Henrique scored the last goal with a low strike after two minutes that Pereira scored.
