Sony’s PlayStation Network (PSN) is currently back online after experiencing a major outage that left gamers around the globe unable to access their accounts or play online games.
The outage, which lasted for more than 6 hours, affected multiple consoles, including the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PS Vita, and older models such as the PS 3. It is reported by Downdetector, an outage tracker, that the disruption peaked late Monday night when users started making reports about issues with logging into their PSN accounts, accessing the PlayStation Store, and launching games.
According to people who went online to express their dissatisfaction with the development, gamers couldn’t download new content, access online multiplayer games, or even use offline features that require PSN verification.
