President Joe Biden & his VP Kamala Harris are under heavy criticism for their perceived lack of response and poor support to the victims of Hurricane Helene in North Carolina even as conspiracy theories allege that the devastating flood was artificially created to minimize compensations to landowners as lithium mining sets to start in 2025.
The rounds of bashing came after Biden during a White House press briefing was asked by a reporter why he and Harris were not present in Washington over the weekend to be actively involved amid the devasting Hurricane.
Biden who was about leaving the room turned around and replied that he was commanding and had been on the phone for at least two hours the previous day and the day before, and that it is “called a telephone”, for a reason.

He then proceeded to leave as the reporter tried to ask if it was not important for the country to see…before the video ended. Probably the reporter wanted to ask if it was not important for the country to see its president address them during such a devastating time.
However, pictures that have flooded social media allegedly show Biden relaxing in his beach house in Delaware.
Then came Harris who made a post on X with a picture of her supposedly making calls and taking notes on the developments and emergency response and recovery following the hurricane.
“I also spoke with @NC_Governor Cooper about the ongoing rescue and recovery efforts in North Carolina. Our Administration will continue to stay in constant contact with state and local officials to ensure communities have the support and resources they need”, she included in her statement.
However, many pointed out that she had the photo staged and was not writing anything as there was nothing written on the paper. She was also said not to have been on a call at the time the photo was taken because the wired headset she had on was not connected to her phone.
Biden administration was also at the center of backlash on X following the sum released so far towards the rehabilitation of those affected by the hurricane – a stark contrast to the billions sent as aid to Ukraine. The shortage of funds and slow response were heavily criticized by Trump even as Biden scheduled to visit the storm-ravaged areas later in the week – as long as it didn’t hinder emergency response.
Trump also claimed that Republican areas were being secluded from federal disaster assistance. He visited Valdosta, Georgia to deliver relief aid to people affected by Hurricane Helene and opened a GoFundMe which have received over $1.5 billion in 24 hours to further assist the victims.
Lithium Mining & Hurricane Helene Conspiracy
While thoughts, prayers, and politics play out, many are alleging that Hurricane Helene was not just a natural disaster, but in fact man-made and well-planned out by the US Government itself.
According to the school of thought, a large deposit of lithium was discovered in the areas now affected by the flooding. It continues that a company has been scheduled to begin mining of lithium in these areas in 2025, and that compensation might have to be paid to those whose landed properties would be affected.
To reduce the amount that can be paid out as compensation, Hurricane Helene was then artificially created, just like cloud seeding used to control and manipulate the weather, to flood and devastate those places and crash the value of land there.
