A new face has been noticed by the sharp-eyed fans who watched Game 2 of the Division Series in Cleveland in the Detroit Tigers’ dugout.
Recently injured veteran shortstop Javier Baez has returned from the injured list to help his team during the playoffs after he went through season-ending hip surgery in August.
Although the player needed to be crushed, he made it into the field for the team’s end-of-season photo while he spent the last month of the regular season rehabbing in Detroit.
The Tigers are waxing stronger despite Baez’s injury, and rookie Trey Sweeney is doing a great job to fit in the vacuum, which has raised questions about the injured player’s need in the team.
It is not yet clear if the player will be available to participate in spring training, as he requires a good time to get back to fit.
Regardless of the inquiry and his replacement, he is still a loved icon in the Tigers’ clubhouse.
