Rams Wide Receiver Puka Nacua Suffers Knee Injury As His Team Loses to The Detroit Lions

During Sunday night’s game between the Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Rams, Puka Nacua suffered a knee injury in the second quarter.

According to ESPN and video footage released online, Nacua had sustained the injury while trying to make a catch midway. The Rams Wide Receiver had only just recovered from a previous knee injury after being hurt in a joint practice during training camp. It is still not known which of his knees is affected.

Puka Nacua isn’t the only player in the Rams that got injured. His other teammates, Steve Avila, Kevin Dotson, and Joe Noteboom had to be excluded from the game as well. Like Nacua, Avila also suffered a knee injury while Noteboom got hurt in one of his ankles. According to the LA Times, Dotson was seen leaving the locker room with crutches and his left foot was wrapped in a protective boot.

Although the Rams lost to the Lions 26-20, Puka Nacua was able to make 4 catches for 35 yards before he was taken off the field. Rams Quarterback Matthew Stafford, who had 34 of 49 passes for 317 yards and 1 touchdown, told reporters that he wasn’t sure about Nacua’s future in the upcoming games but that his teammate is “obviously a big part of our offense.”
