Barcelona took away the entire three points in a commanding 5-1 victory against Villarreal at Estadio de la Ceramica, as Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski scored double each in an interesting game.

Regardless of the score, Villarreal did not perform badly after scoring a goal and two of its goals disallowed by VAR.

It first appeared that Villarreal had taken the lead when Yeremy Pino lobbed Marc Andre ter Stegen and found the back of the net, but the goal was ruled out by VAR for offside.

Lewandowski scored the first goal in the match for Barcelona in the 20th when he brilliantly converted a nice pass from Pablo Torre. Lewandowski made it two after fifteen minutes of scoring the first goal with a brilliant overhead kick.

Villarreal, in their effort to revenge, quickly responded as Nicolas Pepe brilliantly avoided being caught in the offside lane and set up Ayoze Perez to change the scoreline to 2-1.

Pepe almost added a goal before the halftime to make it a draw, but Torre scored a goal in the 58th minute from outside the box that extended Barcelona’s lead.

Raphina later dominated the game with his two late goals that sealed Barcelona’s win. The victory for Barcelona extended their unbeaten run and put them before Real Madrid with a four-point difference, while Villarreal encountered their first loss since the season started.
