Aston Villa Stun Wolves With Late Comeback, Securing 3-1 Victory

Super-sub gave a beautiful performance as Aston Villa secured three points after a surprising 3-1 victory against struggling Wolves, with three goals in the final 13 minutes.

Duran scored his fourth goal from the five substitute features; he capped off a match that had seemed beyond Aston Villa for more than 60 minutes.

Gary O’Neil’s Wolves were left frustrated for most of the match. The visitors took the lead in the first half as Matheus Cunha delivered a beautiful strike from Diego Carlos’ error that cost them.

In a repetition of what happened again to Everton last week, Aston Villa made another comeback as they won the game against Wolves. Ollie Watson made it a draw in the 73rd minute with a deflected shot.

Ezri Konsa scored a goal two minutes from full time that put Villa on the winning side, and Duran again scored another goal that sealed the win by converting Morgan Rogers’ pass.

Wolves will feel very disappointed as they now sit at the bottom of the Premier League after failing to convert opportunities against Aston Villa. Yerson Mosquera being stretchered off late in the game also added to their misfortune.
