It would have been difficult to believe that Chappell Roan was not the headliner for the opening day of Lollapalooza in Chicago by looking at the crowd.
He came to the T-Mobile stage at 5 p.m. on Thursday at the south end of Grant Park. A lot of fans created a vibrant and energetic atmosphere through their greetings.
Some media organizations, including The Chicago Sun-Times, reported that the “Midwest Princess” drew one of the largest crowds in the history of the festival, including those for nighttime headliners. The audience was in high spirits at the south end of the park to witness Roan’s performance.
The official Lollapalooza Twitter/X page shared a new image of the large crowd that attended the festival. In one tweet, they simply stated, “It’s Chappell’s world, and we’re just living in it.”
The festival will still hold on Sunday, promising more performances and memorable moments.
