Ipswich And Fulham Battle To A Draw As Tractor Boys Seek First Top-Flight Win Since 2002

Ipswich Town have just secured their first point of the Premier League season but were not allowed to take the whole three points by Adama Traore’s equalizing goal in a 1-1 draw with Fulham at Portman Road.

Ipswich Town’s eagerness for their first top-flight win since they last had it in April 2002 began with a bang, as Liam Delap scored their first goal after an excellent assist that came from Leif Davis.

The early goal scored by Delap set up an atmosphere that gave Ipswich Town hope and confidence that they could achieve their first three points of the season.

While Ipswich was still in the mood of happiness, Fulham did not waste much time before they responded to equalize in the 32nd minute, with Traore finishing off a fluid team move that put the match in 1-1.

The game was not easy as both teams played very well and almost shared possession while they both tried their effort to secure a win. Both Chiedozie Ogbene of the Ipswich side and his counterpart from the Fulham end, Raul Jimenez, had efforts denied during a back-and-forth second half.

Neither team could achieve a win that could have fetched it a three point, ending the match at a 1-1 draw as the final whistle blew.

Ipswich is now sitting in the 16th position in the early-season standings, while Fulham occupies a spot just inside the top half of the table ahead of the weekend’s remaining fixtures.
