Video- Florida Private School Principal Physically Assaulting Student, 5 Years After Arrest For Sexually Abusing Minor

CCTV footage captured Dontay Akeem Prophet, the principal of Destiny Leadership Academy, Ocala, in Florida, brutally beating up a teen. This is coming after he was arrested for luring a minor to his home and sexually assaulting the student, while he worked in a previous school.

The video clip below shows the school principal choking, hitting, and whipping a student. The physical assault which is contained in a 40+ minute-long security footage showed him pinning the student to the ground, putting him on a choke hold, striking him with a cable, twisting his ankle, slapping him in the face, and preventing him from leaving a classroom for over 40 minutes

He was later apprehended by the police and arrested and will be charged with aggravated child abuse and false imprisonment of a child under the age of 13.

It was gathered that the principal in 2019, was arrested after he was accused of sexually abusing a minor, after inviting the 16-year-old to his home. The charges forced him to resign from his role as a behavioral specialist at South Ocala Elementary in 2017.

He was then charged with lewd and lascivious molestation of a child, but after entering a plea deal with the prosecutors, the charge was downgraded to attempting to interfere with the custody of a child.

However, in 2023, Dontay Prophet was sentenced to 90 days in prison after he violated his probation.

His criminal records left many wondering how he was appointed as principal of a school.
