The Jordanian Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission has announced the temporary closure of Jordanian airspace for inbound and outbound flights due to increasing regional risks.
In a statement, the commission cited the need to safeguard the safety and security of Jordanian airspace amidst escalating tensions and after evaluating potential regional threats.
While not elaborating further on the nature of these risks, the commission stated that Jordanian airspace would be inaccessible to all incoming, departing, and transiting flights temporarily, starting from 20:00 UTC (11:00pm local time), for several hours.
The commission emphasized that this measure would be continuously monitored and adjusted in response to unfolding developments.
This action, the commission stated, is aimed at ensuring the safety and security of civil aviation within Jordanian airspace.
