Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good are not hiding their love anymore. The couple made their first public appearance together on Sunday at the 7th annual African-American Film Critics Association (AAFCA) Special Achievement Awards Luncheon in Los Angeles, where they looked happy and cozy as they posed for the cameras on the red carpet.
The event marked the first major outing for Majors, 34, since his trial in December, where he was convicted of assault and harassment in a domestic violence case involving his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari. The actor, who starred in Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, is scheduled to be sentenced on April 8.
When asked by Extra how he and Good, 42, were doing, Majors replied, “In love.” Meagan also added that were doing “great. God’s good.”
The pair were first linked romantically in May 2023, and have been living together in New York City’s Greenwich Village, according to PEOPLE.
Majors opened up about his relationship with Good in an interview with ABC News in January, comparing her to Coretta Scott King, the wife of Martin Luther King Jr. He had said,
“She’s an angel. She’s held me down like… a Coretta. I’m so blessed to have her. You know, the relationship is still fresh, but, you know, I think I found her.”
Jonathan Majors’ love life has been under scrutiny since his trial, where he faced eight misdemeanor counts related to an alleged altercation with Jabbari, a British dancer and actress, in March 2023.
His ex had claimed that he had physically assaulted and broken her middle finger. A jury, made up of 6 people, found him guilty.
