Remember back in 2019 when Dave Bautista, aka Batista, revealed that he now has a new furry friend in his life, turns out that he owes it all to his celebrity buddy Chris Pratt and Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown.
The Dune: Part Two star shared the story of how he adopted his pit bull puppy Talulah on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. He said that Pratt, who co-starred with him in Guardians of the Galaxy, texted him about a dog that Brown, who was working with Pratt on The Electric State, was trying to find a home for.
According to him, Chris Pratt had sent a picture of the dog together with the text,
“I know you’re a fan of this breed, and my co-star is trying to adopt her.”
Bautista, who already had three pit bulls, rejected the offer but said he couldn’t resist the cute pup’s photo and later agreed to take her.
“I just kept looking at her picture and I was just–I just, like, fell in love with her.”
The Pro-wrestler revealed that when Pratt told him that he would hook him up with Millie, he was so shocked that he asked, “wait a minute, Millie Bobby Brown?” He also joked to Jimmy that he liked telling this story to people because it makes him “sound super Hollywood”.
“It sounds weird to me when I say, ‘And Chris Pratt hit me up, and I got my dog, you know, from Millie Bobby Brown,’ “
Dave Bautista went on to talk about how the Damsel actress arranged for someone to drive the dog from Atlanta to his house and how grateful he was to Brown, whom he never met in person, for giving him his fourth dog.
On Valentine’s day last year, he posted a picture of himself on Instagram holding Talulah with a caption that read: ” Hey all, I’d like you to meet the newest member of my Valentine’s day crew, Talulah Bautista!”
Dave Bautista is a huge dog lover and an advocate for pit bull rescue. He has four dogs: Ollie, Maggie, Penny, and Talulah
