‘The Tonight Show’ host Jimmy Fallon has criticized GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy’s campaign, suggesting that his team is not doing enough.
The biotech entrepreneur didn’t qualify for Wednesday’s GOP debate on CNN. And on Tuesday, he appeared via iPad in another presidential campaign.
“That room looked less like a campaign event and more like a support group meeting,” Fallon cracked.
“You know your campaign’s toast when you can’t even get yourself to show up,” he added.
Ramaswamy’s campaign has insisted he’s still in the running despite failing to meet the polling criteria to join Wednesday’s debate.
He also slammed Chris Christie on Thursday’s episode of the show.
“Christie’s just like us. He made a goal for 2024 and then quit ten days into January, It happens. It happens to everybody,” joked Fallon.
Christie had promised not to support Trump after dropping out of the presidential race.
“Christie said if he has to, he can always shut down the roads leading to the White House. He’ll do whatever, he can always do that,” he said, referring to the so-called “Bridgegate” scandal that engulfed Christie in 2013.
