Hannah Spearritt from Dancing on Ice has opened up about her decision to leave the S Club reunion tour following the unfortunate passing of her former bandmate Paul Cattermole, expressing that “SClub will never be the same again.”

The 42-year-old singing sensation, now part of the celebrity line-up for Dancing on Ice, has had a challenging year marked by Paul Cattermole’s death at the age of 46 due to natural causes. Subsequently, Spearitt withdrew from the S Club reunion tour and penned a tell-all memoir, “Facing the Music,” detailing her life.

In May of the previous year, Spearritt faced the tough choice of not proceeding with the S Club reunion tour, and she shared the reasons for this decision on Loose Women. Speaking on the show, she explained, “SClub will never be the same again, unfortunately. It just unfortunately wasn’t the right time for me to continue.” Other S Club members included Tina Barrett, Jon Lee, Bradley McIntosh, Jo O’Meara, and Rachel Stevens.

Following Cattermole’s untimely death and her departure from the tour, Spearritt admitted the difficulty of navigating through these events, especially as she had already committed to writing her memoir. She expressed, “With the book, it came at the wrong time.” Revisiting past memories became emotionally challenging for the pop princess.

Despite contemplating abandoning the book, Spearritt persevered, driven by the challenge she had set for herself. She shared, “It was tough doing the book. With the book, it came at the wrong time. I decided to do it pre SClub, pre what happened that year. It wasn’t what I anticipated writing about. I did think about not doing it. But then you set yourself these challenges, you don’t want to give up. It was hard going back and back and revisiting stuff.”
