Cleveland Browns Beat Jets To Clinch Postseason Playoffs Spot

The Cleveland Browns beat the Jets on Thursday Night Football and they would be heading to the 2023 NFL playoffs for the first time since 2020.

The Browns have had to deal with a number of season-ending injuries to key players across the board from Week 1.

From being one of eight teams since 1961 to having at least four quarterbacks win a game as a starter in a single season, to losing three tackles, their star running back and key players in their secondary.

Browns wide receiver Elijah Moore did suffer a head injury in the second quarter.

After catching a 22-yard pass from Flacco, Moore’s helmet was driven into the turf as he went down. He rolled onto his back and appeared to twitch as teammates quickly called for medical personnel.

On the other hand, the Jets were forced to start Trevor Siemian for the second week in a row with Zach Wilson sidelined by a concussion.

The player of the match was David Njoku. He played a critical role in the Browns’ offensive success in the first half from the opening drive as he had two pass completions for 64 yards. He finished the game with 134 receiving yards on six catches.

Flacco threw for over 300 yards for his fourth consecutive game, as he completed 19 of 29 passes for 309 yards, three touchdowns and one interception.

The Browns will travel to Cincinnati for the final regular-season game against the Bengals in Week 18.
