A video of Ghazi Hamad, a top member of the Hamas leadership, vowing during an interview, to continue with the massacre against Israel like that of October 7, 2023, left many wondering if there could ever be peace between the warring territories.
“Israel is a country that has no place in our land”, Hamad says according to a translation of the interview he held with the Lebanese channel LBC on October 24. “We must remove that country,” because it is a threat to the Arab and Islamic Nation.
He said the fight will continue given their military capability. He, however, acknowledged the price that will be paid – referring to the loss of innocent lives, but was quick to say they were a nation of martyrs, and are proud to sacrifice them.
The liberation according to Ghazi Hamad, is not just about Gaza or Palestine, but the destruction of Israel, he said.
