Falcon’s Bijan Robinson, a first-round pick is struggling with playing time and there are no public reasons as to why. He does not have an injury, so why?
He played only three snaps on the Falcons’ first three drives, according to the count from Josh Kendall of TheAthletic.com.
He also did not get a single touch during the first half of Sunday’s 16-13 victory over the Buccaneers.
When asked about it at halftime, Falcons coach Arthur Smith said Robinson is “just not feeling all that great.”
Robinson, who entered the game as the Falcons’ leader in rushing and co-leader in receptions, had zero targets and zero rushing attempts during the game’s first 30 minutes.
Coach Arthur Smith said last week the Falcons have to watch Robinson’s usage, but three snaps in three series seem more than just watching his usage. Could there be a fallout with the management?
Robinson has played 301 snaps this season, which is 72 percent of the offense, and has 106 touches for 590 yards and two touchdowns.
Tyler Allgeier has five carries and Cordarrelle Patterson has two.
