Amon-Ra St. Brown of the Detroit Lions put a Green Bay Packers player on skates when he scored a touchdown in the first quarter, and Lambeau Field showered him with beer in appreciation.
On the second drive of the game, St. Brown scored the team’s first touchdown. The great receiver was wide open when Jared Goff found him, and he brought the ball down for the score. At that point, Detroit was in the lead.
In front of a small group of Lions supporters sitting in the first row towards the back of the end zone, St. Brown then performed his own Lambeau Leap to celebrate the victory. The cameras saw St. Brown leaping into the spectators and a Packers supporter dousing the player in beer.
After one quarter, the Lions had a 14-3 advantage against the Packers. After St. Brown’s touchdown, David Montgomery also scored. The wide receiver has one catch for a touchdown and 24 yards throughout the entire span.
He had 21 catches for 275 yards and a touchdown when the game began. In 2022, he had a 1,000-yard receiving season, which led to his first Pro Bowl selection.
Rival NFC North teams were engaged in intense combat. Both clubs came into the game with winning records and sought to benefit from the early-season matchup.
