Bassey Sees Red On Debut As Arsenal And Fulham Share Points On Matchday 3

Bassey Sees Red On Debut As Arsenal And Fulham Share Points On Matchday 3

Calvin Bassey was shown a red card on his debut for Fulham after helping them secure a point against Arsenal till the 83rd minute.

Massey fouled Eddie Nketiah in the 83rd minute, after getting a yellow card early in the game.

Andreas Pereira got Fulham off to a flying start, scoring after just 57 seconds. He took advantage of Bukayo Saka’s mistake and sent the ball past Aaron Ramsdale.

Saka equalized from the penalty spot for the Gunners in the second half after Fabio Vieira was caught by Kenny Tete.

Nketiah scored Arsenal’s second as they came from behind to take the lead. He has been doing wonders as a substitute.

Arsenal became the first team in Premier League history to concede a first-minute goal three times in a calendar year.

In games against Nottingham Forest and now Fulham, Arsenal have conceded in the last 15 minutes of the second half, with the defending that cost them towards the end of last season’s title challenge still an issue.

In the 87th minute, Palhinha was left unmarked and punished by sloppy defending to snatch a point for Marco Silva’s team.
