Caleb Willingham, best known as the husband of “1000-Lb. Sisters” star Tammy Slaton, has died.
“I am devastated to share the news of my husband’s passing. He was my best friend and I loved him dearly”, Tammy said in a statement regarding Caleb’s passing.
“When I met Caleb he became my guardian angel and now he really is watching over me. Our families appreciate everyone’s sympathy and ask that you respect our privacy at this time.”
40-year-old Caleb Willingham, also known as “Killa K” or “Double K,” seldom appeared on Slaton’s reality TV where they detail their constant struggles with weight.
No cause of death has been released.
Caleb and Tammy met at a rehab facility in Ohio in 2022, where they were undergoing treatment for obesity. They got married a month later in Gibsonburg, Ohio.
Slaton was undergoing a 14-month rehab so she can advance for a weight-loss surgery.
Tammy Slaton said their wedding was “perfect” and she literally married her “best friend.”
“I love waking up every morning and seeing his face. And seeing his face every night before going to bed”, she told People.
However, the two split in May because Caleb was allegedly not following his diet, and Tammy was reportedly getting set to file for divorce.
Earlier this week, 36-year-old Slaton shared a photo on Instagram of hershocking weight loss, revealing that she has lost more than 300 pounds after undergoing bariatric surgery in 2022.
Slaton was spotted walking unassisted after the procedure. Prior to the surgery, she weighed nearly 700 pounds.
