After the news of Jessie Lemonier made headlines, people have sought to confirm what actually killed him/his cause of death after unconfirmed reports allege he committed suicide and others say he died after getting Covid-19 vaccination..
There is unconfirmed news that Jessie Lemonier, the former Detroit Lions linebacker, could have died after getting inoculated with the Covid-19 vaccine. He never made his vaccination status public.
Some news alleges that Jessie committed suicide because of this tweet from Fehoko Show.
“My brother man. ?? We came in to the league together had to battle through everything rookie year to get where we are. You were always filled with life bro. I LOVE YOU BRO! Please check up on your people. PLEASE”
However, there is no confirmed report on Jessie Lemonier’s cause of death; be it from covid-19 vaccination or suicide.
Jessie Lemonier played for Detroit Lions in seven matches of the 2021-22 season. He will celebrate his 26th birthday on Tuesday and was expecting a child with his girlfriend.
“We are shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of former Detroit Lion Jessie Lemonier.”
“Jessie was a model team mate and wonderful young man who is gone far too soon. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time.”
“Our hearts are with Jessie’s family, friends and loved ones,” a statement from Lions read.
Jessie Lemonier was born in Hialeah, Florida, and had played college football at Liberty University before entering the 2020 NFL draft. He then signed with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent shortly afterward.
Lemonier was signed to the team’s practice squad after being waived, then he was elevated to its active roster weeks later.
During his time with Los Angeles, he played in six games, making two tackles before being waived.
He spent the 2021 season with the Lions, playing in seven games – starting two – finishing with 15 total tackles and 1.5 sacks.
He had also been on the Arizona Cardinals practice squad last summer, recording a sack in a preseason game, before being released.
Lemonier had been drafted by the XFL’s Arlington Renegades in November last year but earlier this month, Lemonier signed with the Houston Gamblers in the United States Football League before being traded to the Birmingham Stallions.
