Arsenal, who had been leading in the Premier League lost some points for the first time this season after they had a goalless draw with Newcastle United on Tuesday.
Newcastle showed why they have the best defensive record despite Mike Arteta’s opportunities, especially at the opening stage.
With the draw game between both clubs, Newcastle remains third, nine points behind Arsenal.
Arsenal, who had previously won all seven of their Premier League home games this season, missed the opportunity to extend their lead over Manchester City at the top to 10 points.
Manchester City who will face Chelsea on Thursday will now be able to cut the gap back to five points.

Arsenal had started the game with a grand performance but was unable to crown it with a goal, after 5 shots at the goalpost in the first seven minutes.

11 minutes remaining to the end of the second half, Gabriel Martinelli headed just wide off the target from an Odegaard inswinging corner.
Nick Pope also saved a shot from Eddie Nketiah, and tension also grew between both clubs when no penalty kick was awarded to Arsenal’s Jacob Murphy’s handball.
