On Monday, protesters repeatedly interrupted Sen. Ted Cruz’s appearance on “The View,” with some requesting that the Texas Republican address climate change.
As Cruz attempted to respond to a question from Sara Haines, one of the co-hosts of the ABC talk show, the demonstrators appeared to be yelling, “Cover climate now!”
When the demonstrators finally stopped chanting, Whoopi Goldberg said, “Excuse me, ladies. Let us do our job, please, excuse us. We are listening to what you have to say, but you must leave. You must leave so that we can finish our work. The audience cheered in reaction to Goldberg’s statement.
Cruz was interrupted again later on in the conversation. This time, when Cruz was yelled at, the broadcast cut the audio and went to commercial.
Apart from the protests that were interspersed throughout the conversation, Cruz avoided mentioning that President Joe Biden was rightfully elected throughout his appearance on “The View.”
