The once high and mighty RnB singer, R. Kelly has been found guilty and has been convicted of child pornography after the videos of him molesting his goddaughter sufficed.
The 55-year-old singer is already serving a 30 years penalty which was given by a Brooklyn court last year for human trafficking and racketeering, added more to his count when the jury found him guilty of six of the 13 charges made against him, including child pornography. Three counts of coercing minors into sexual activity and three of producing sex tapes involving a minor.
John R. Launch Jr, a U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Illinois said that they were particularly happy with the verdict. He said:
“We are very pleased that Robert Kelly is finally, finally being held responsible for the abuse of his 14-year-old goddaughter.” Kelly was on trial for the videotape of him sexually abusing and urinating on the same 14-year-old goddaughter but found him not guilty after she testified that she was not the one in the video.
