American rapper, Kodak Black has been nominated for ‘The best song of the year’ category and this is his first major BET Awards nomination. Kodak took to his Instagram to share the exciting news with his fans.
Kodak has done a significant number of mixtapes, EPs, and albums, and his song “Super Gremlin” was just nominated for best song of the year.
Kodak, whose real name is Bill Kapri, became famous for his 2014 song “No Flockin.” He was also nominated for Best Hip-Hop Artist in 2018 and a “Best Rap Song” Grammy nomination that same year.
After receiving the exciting news, he wrote on his Instagram.
“A BIH COULD HATE ME FOR WHATEVER REASON ! ION EVEN NEED MY FLOWERS ! JUS GIVE ME WHATS MINES, ?.”
The BET Hip-Hop Awards is going into its 17th year next month on Oct.4 in Atlanta and some family faces did not make it to the nomination list.
Last summer, the Florida rapper received a proclamation from former Broward County Mayor Dale Holness for his philanthropic endeavors in Broward County, where he is from, declaring June 11th officially Kodak Black Day.
