Fans of the legendary Los Angeles rapper, 2Pac Shakur have taken to social media to celebrate him on his 26th death anniversary. The rapper was allegedly shot in his car by a gang member after returning from a club in Las Vegas where he performed.
2Pac was well-known in the black community, and even worldwide because he used his platform to speak for youths and black people in general. His stories were always raw and relatable, and he rapped a lot about grooming. Alongside Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Big E, and other top rappers, he was living a fulfilled life till he was brutally shot in September of 1996.
Many reports and rumors spread like wildfire as to who would murder the singer, but a private report in 2008 revealed that it was the person that 2Pac and his companions beat up that came to retaliate. Six months later, Big E also died after his performance in Los Angeles on March 9th, 1997.
Till today, nobody has been arrested for both 2Pac and Big E’s murder, and the Los Angeles Police Department still calls it an open investigation.
Every year, fans still pay tribute to the celebrated rapper, even worldwide.
