Tyler Stanaland and Brittany Snow have decided to divorce.
The couple, who tied the knot in March 2020, announced their separation on Wednesday in nearly similar Instagram postings, which also included a black-and-white image of them sharing a train seat.
“Pitch Perfect” actress said in the caption of her Instagram image, “After time and thought, Tyler and I have decided to separate.
The couple’s choice to split up, according to Snow, “was made with love and mutual respect for one another.”
“We have realized we need to take some time and make sure we are each living our most fulfilling and authentic lives,” both posts continued. “We started this journey as best friends and our relationship will continue to be a priority not only for us but for our dog Charlie.”
The couple split up less than a month after Stanaland, a former professional surfer and star of Netflix’s “Selling the OC,” made news for controversies about his relationships with several of his female costars on the series, which debuted on August 24.
The two thanked followers for their support in their final messages and asked for privacy as they “manage this new phase.”
