Nobody is more prepared for the Minnesota Vikings’ Sunday afternoon matchup with the Detroit Lions than wide receiver Adam Thielen.
Players are free to wear anything they like during pregame warmups before every game. Custom cleats are one way that athletes choose to express themselves.
Thielen is noted for sporting some unique cleats. He took it a step further this week by posting a picture of the original 3-deep, building on his unique Italian Stallion Rocky Balboa cleats from last week’s game against the Eagles.
3-Deep, which at the time was made up of Cris Carter, Jake Reed, and a young Randy Moss, was a dominant force that assisted the Vikings in setting an NFL record for most points scored in a season.
The three initial Vikings receivers from the 1998 season aren’t that dissimilar from the group now. An awesome tribute to the illustrious Thielen band.
