The Associated Press got an autopsy report on the death of country singer Naomi Judd on Friday, which corroborated what family members had already reported about how she died. Judd, 76, shot herself with a gun on April 30 at her Tennessee home.
The autopsy, which is considered public record in Tennessee, revealed multiple prescription medicines used to treat post-traumatic stress disorder and bipolar illness in Judd’s system.
In a nearly three-decade career, Naomi and her daughter Wynonna Judd have 14 No. 1 hits. Naomi Judd died the day before being inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame with Wynonna.
