Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6), the studio’s upcoming installment in the popular, long-running open-world crime game franchise, has received a number of updates according to a recent Bloomberg piece that examines the shifting workplace culture at Rockstar Games.

The game’s two protagonists, one of whom is allegedly a Latina woman in a Bonnie and Clyde-inspired tale, are the subject of the most important details. Since Grand Theft Auto 2, there hasn’t been a female protagonist in the series.

Reports that Rockstar Games is attempting to change its sense of humor to avoid targeting marginalized people and relying on offensive stereotypes go along with details of the studio’s evolving culture, which was previously referred to as “frat boy” and involved, among other things, “excursions to strip clubs.”

The show, which bills itself as a satire of American culture, has received criticism in the past for, among other things, “punching down” and making jokes about transgender and homeless people.

The report also confirms earlier rumors that Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, a beloved game in the series, would be the setting for GTA 6. Vice City is a fictionalized version of Miami (2002). The 1980s were the setting for Vice City, a film whose plot was influenced by Brian De Palma’s Scarface.

Additionally, according to the report, GTA 6 will have the most inside locales of the series’ so far, which has mostly centered on outdoor activities.
