Reports have it that the Sokoto state government has imposed a 24-hours curfew in the state over the protest to release the arrested killers of Deborah Yakubu.
It was accounted that some protesters stormed the street of Sokoto to call for the release of the arrested suspects linked to the death of the 200level student murdered for allegedly blaspheming Prophet Mohammed.
The state governor, Aminu Tambuwal declared a curfew in the state after the people who set out to protest with placards on their hands with an inscription that reads “Release our Muslim brothers”, “Muslims Are Not Terrorists”, and “Peaceful riot” became violent and started fighting.
