Calls To Pardon Reality Winner Spike After 60 Minutes Interview

There have been heightened calls for President Joe Biden to pardon Reality Winner, the former National Security Agency (NSA) translator.

Reality Winner was convicted and sentenced to 5 years and 3 months imprisonment in 2018 after she was arrested in 2017, for releasing classified information to the media.

She recently spoke in an interview with Scott Pelley on 60 Minutes where she said she acted out of love for what the U.S. stands for, by leaking documents that revealed Russia’s cyberattack on 122 local government organizations.

Reality Winner added that she intended to harm and did not cause any damage or put lives at risk, but was only trying to fill a question, as she had pledged service to Americans and …” at that point in time, it felt like they were being led astray.”

Following her interview, many have called for her to be pardoned:
