The Aare Onakankanfo of Yoruba land, Chief Gani Adams has said methods been adopted by Chief Sunday Igboho towards the actualization of Yoruba Nation are wrong.

Adams alleged that Sunday employed more propaganda in his struggle for self-determination as he faulted Igboho’s threat to forcefully reopen borders, adding that claims that 1,000 policemen would not return if they invaded his house were uncalled for.

Adams appealed to Obas, Governors, and leaders of the Yoruba race to rally around the Yoruba warlord, Igboho, and save him from being killed.

His words: “I beg the Ooni of Ife, Alake of Egba and all other Yoruba leaders. If a son offends his father, the father will forgive him. Let us unite to use another method for our liberation.

“Most of Sunday Igboho’s methods are wrong. I told him that his methods are wrong but God has used him in the agitation for the Yoruba Nation. Sunday has played his role and will still play more roles, we should not watch him get killed or persecuted.

“As the Aare Onakankanfo, I am begging you. Assuming he and his followers had not insulted me before, you will say that is why I am saying this. But a leader without the spirit of forgiveness is an enemy of God. I beg the governors too.

“Sunday Igboho should caution his talkative followers so that they won’t put him in trouble,” Adams added.
