Rappers dissing each other is as old as the rap game itself. While it could be borne out of pure dislike for a fellow rapper, others engage in the shade-game as a means to trend and make waves in the music industry, just like the infamous standout between 50 Cent and Kanye West.

Well, let’s remember when Tupac Shakur threw a hot shade at Nas after he was questioned by a press on Deathrow records. While responding to the interviewer, the legendary Tupac stated how he and his record label rose above others including Puff  Daddy, now P-Diddy’s Bad Boys Record, whilst referring to Nas as a weak rapper!

Such straight-out shade normally doesn’t go unanswered in the rap and music industry, even in the classroom. However, Nas did the opposite, he didn’t diss back Tupac! In an interview, he said he had great respect for Tupac, and that they’ve met and he was to take down that statement before he was shot and killed.

In fact, Nas had to pause his concert the very night Tupac was killed and made everyone…except some ladies…pay a minute of silence to the fallen king of rap!

Do you think Nas’s meekness was out of great respect for Tupac or out of fear…least Tupac hit ’em up and destroys his rap career lyrically, like 50 Cent to Ja-rule or worse still…takes it out the gangster way!
