During the inauguration ceremony of the 46th President of the United States of America – Joe Biden, Lady Gaga was elected to sing the national anthem.
The US national anthem ends with a question “O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave over the land of the free and the home of the brave?” It’s basically a question if the democracy been practiced in the United States of America today will hold tomorrow?
However, Lady Gaga in her usual gaga-style decided to pitch it even more. She stressed the tone and got everybody’s ear tuned in, and in the way, it should be.
It is a worthy act because that part of the anthem has seen people shy away from the truth. It clearly reveals that the United States is not really who they depict to be, or rather, let’s say they haven’t gotten there yet!
Will democracy and free-will always prevail in America tomorrow? Only time will tell!
