The race is finally over, or could is it? Joe Biden has emerged winner of the just-concluded presidential election of the United States of America, beating incumbent Donald Trump 290 to 214.
The announcement was met with wide jubilations across the streets even as Trump supporters held to their candidate’s stance that the election was highly rigged, and he will contest the result in court. He alleges that the mail-in voting system which was implemented was rigged in the favor of Biden.
The mail voting system or Postal voting is voting in an election where ballot papers are distributed to electors who return them after filling, by post. The election system was chosen in order to reduce person-to-person contact thereby limiting the spread of Covid-19.
