Another gas pipeline explosion just occurred in the Baruwa area of Lagos State this morning. The exact cause of the explosion is yet to be confirmed.
Accidents like these are one too many in recent times. On March 16, a gas pipeline exploded in Abule-ado, Festac-Lagos state, which killed, injured, and destroyed lives and properties. On the 29th of July and the 2nd of August, there were gas explosions which also left trails of blood and unquantifiable loss.
We implore the NNPC to look into this rising ugly trend and put an end to it, and not come up with unnecessary cover-up tales as they reportedly did in Festac’s Abule-ado’s case.
