Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman shines again after delivering a good performance as Atalanta thrashed Sturm Graz 5-0 in a Champions League game at the Gewiss Stadium.

The Atalanta frontman came in as a substitute in the second half to replace Mateo Retegui, a top scorer. Not long after he came in, Lookman quickly added a goal for Atalanta through a header from a cross to make it 4-0, and he did the assist for the fifth goal that sealed the win.

Lookman, who recently won the African Player of the Year, has scored four goals and one assist in his six Champions League matches this season, helping his team to earn a total of 14 points from their seven games and secure a place in the knockout play-offs.

Atalanta is in dire need of a draw against Spanish giant Barcelona in their last group-stage match to move directly to the knockout stage.

The Super Eagles forward has also made good marks in the local league, Serie A, after scoring 10 goals and contributing five assists in his 18 games, helping the team to move to third place. He has also netted a total of 14 goals and made seven assists in all competitions.

He has also continued to prove himself as a worthy addition to Atalanta’s European and local campaigns.
