Man City Vs. Bayern Munich: Result, Highlights, & Haaland

At Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Premier League champions Man City defeated German champions Bayern Munich 1-0 in their off-season game.

Just one minute after Man City’s New Star Haaland scored, there was a lightning delay that caused the game to be stopped. Haaland was back on the field when play resumed 55 minutes later. He almost scored a second goal that was stopped when a Bayern centre-back made a last-minute slide.

The Man City press plagued Bayern Munich and frequently made it difficult for them to leave their own half of the pitch.

Serge Gnabry had the greatest opportunity of the game for the German team, which needed to do more to recover from losing to Barcelona, but when they did get into the attack, they lacked Robert Lewandowski’s finishing ability.

Fans booed when the final whistle was blown with the clock at 80 minutes since the game could only be divided into two 40-minute halves due to the weather delay.

As they get ready to compete for the first trophy of the season on Saturday, the two clubs will return to their respective home bases. While Man City and Liverpool will square off for the Community Shield, Bayern will be vying for the German Super Cup.
