Kai Havertz stood out in the Champions League game between his side Arsenal and Dinamo Zagreb. Arsenal defeated their opponent 3-0 to move closer to the last 16.
Kai Havertz did not wait for the match to settle before providing a remarkable assist to Declan Rice, leading to a goal in the 2nd minute of the game that started. This goal made it their first of the three goals they netted in the game and Delan Rice’s first time scoring in the Champions League.
The Gunners were unable to convert many of their chances in the first half into goals but kept on taking the lead as they denied Dinamo Zagreb from achieving a single shot on target while Gabriel could not convert a golden opportunity into a goal.
Arsenal regained their scoring ability in the second half as Kai Havertz found the net through a header and assist from Gabriel Martinelli’s pinpoint cross. This goal made it the 500th goal for Arsenal since Arteta took charge of the team.
Just before the game ended, Leandro Trossard, who came into the game as a substitute, set up Martin Ødegaard for a brilliant conversion, making it the skipper’s first open-play goal since April.
Arsenal only needs a point more or good results in another game to move ahead before next week’s match against Girona. The team’s +12 goal difference gives them a balance cushion.
