AC Milan is to battle Inter Milan in the Italian Super Cup final after a commanding 2-1 comeback win against Juventus in Friday’s semifinal hosted in Saudi Arabia.
The first goal in the semifinal was scored by Turkish forward Kenan Yıldız after converting a calculated pass from Samuel Mbangula in the first half to put Juventus in the early lead.
American forward Christian Pulisic made it a draw after scoring from the penalty area in the 71st minute of the game.
After five minutes, when Christian Pulisic equalized for his side, Federico Gatti, Juventus defender, mistakenly found his own net, helping AC Milan to secure the win.
The Rossoneri are scheduled to battle city counterpart Inter Milan, who secured the final spot in Thursday’s semifinal after a win against Atalanta in Riyadh.
Inter Milan are looking forward to winning the title again after emerging victorious at the last three editions of the Super Cup.
The well-anticipated final between the two rivals in Milan will provide AC Milan the opportunity to put Inter Milan behind and dethrone the team to claim the title in what fans can’t wait to see the outcome of.
