Za’Darius Smith, who is currently 32 years old, had formerly played for the Packers, Vikings, and Ravens. The player expressed his interest in joining the Detroit Lions, as it would afford him the privilege to compete against two of his previous teams.
The Lions have been on the lookout for more pass-rushing power the moment that the team’s defensive end, Aidan Hutchinson, was sidelined from the squad because of an injury he sustained three weeks ago.
While there are rumors about the team pursuing a pass rusher, moves are yet to be made concerning that. With the contract deadline coming up on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. ET, this will most likely be the last chance.
