Leicester City denied Ipswich Town from securing their first three points in the Premier League since the season started with Jordan Ayew scoring a late goal to end the game in a 1-1 draw at Portman Road.
The host Ipswich scored the first goal in the second half through an assist from Leif Davis. Kalvin Phillips was shown a red card after a second yellow card in the 77th minute, leaving the team with 10 men to finish the game. The red card did not deter Ipswich, as the team continued to hold their ground until Leicester City’s Ayew netted a stoppage-time goal that equalized the game.
Leicester City took early possession, with Stephy Mavididi missing a fine chance that would have put the team in the lead after Jamie Vardy destroyed Ipswich’s defense. Ipswich continues to play tough against Leicester as the game continues with Conor Chaplin almost scoring a shot that almost goes into the net through the top corner.
The game was a remarkable one for Leif Davis, playing his 100th game and calculatingly converting Sam Morsy’s cross into a spectacular goal.
Leicester City now sits in the 15th place of the Premier League’s table, while Ipswich Town is yet to leave the relegation area, securing only five points since the commencement of the season.
