Harry Kane breaks new record as he becomes the fastest player to score 50 Bundesliga goals as Bayern Munich defeated Augsburg 3-0 on Friday.
Kane, who is now 31 years old, scored three goals, which solidified his status as a key addition to Bayern Munich’s squad.
The England forward has scored 50 goals in only 43 Bundesliga matches that he played in, breaking Manchester City’s Erling Haaland’s former record of 50 goals in 50 matches while he was at Borussia Dortmund.
Kane has contributed a lot to Bayern’s success after leaving the Premier League side; he dominated the game in the second half, becoming the star of the match after the first half ended in 0-0. He later scored two penalties and another goal to complete the hat-trick.
He succeeded in converting a cross from Leon Goretzka in the last minute, where he beat the opposition’s goalkeeper before he scored a header.
The win is an addition to Bayern’s 10-game unbeaten run in the Bundesliga, winning nine with two draws and no loss. Kane has been a key contributor to this success, making it his 14 goals this season.
Bayern Munich now leads the table and will be playing against PSG in the Champions League. The team is now depending on Harry Kane’s help to win their Champions League matches.
