Croatia have secured a quarterfinal place in the Nations League after playing a draw against already-qualified Portugal.

The visitor, Portugal, decided to rest many of their key players, including Cristiano Ronaldo, after they secured the first position in Group A1. Despite resting their key players, Portugal scored the first goal in the 33rd minute through a goal by Joao Felix, who converted a pass from Vitinha into a goal.

Croatia needed at least a draw to qualify for the nation’s league while they almost scored a goal through a fine shot from Andrej Kramaric, but the ball hit the post.

Manchester City’s Josko Gvardiol helped Croatia secure a point in the 65th minute after he converted a cross by Kristijan Jakic into a goal to make it a draw.

After securing a qualification, Croatia pushed for a win as Kramaric made a late attempt, but it was denied by Portugal’s goalkeeper Jose Sa. This draw helped Croatia get into the last eight of the tournament.

In another match, Scotland moved to third position in the group after securing a 2-1 win against Poland.

An injury-time header by Andy Robertson sealed Scotland’s win, putting a conclusion to the group stage.
