While Espanyol scored a goal jubilating, it was ruled out for offside after a VAR check. Not long after, in the 31st minute, Dani Olmo scored another to make it 3-0 before the end of the first half.
The second half was not the perfect one for Barcelona, as Espanyol managed to secure a goal through Javi Puado and an assist by Carlos Romero.
